Background: TWO GREEK MINISTERS WERE PROMINENT AMONG MOURNERS YESTERDAY (FRIDAY) AT THE FUNERAL OF A YOUNG WOMAN KILLED IN AN ATHENS BOMB EXPLOSIONS. THE EXPLOSION, IN THE MINISTRY OF JUSTICE, HAPPENED ON THURSDAY. LITTLE DAMAGE WAS CAUSED TO THE BUILDING, BUT FALLING BRICKS INJURED SEVERAL PEOPLE AND KILLED 22-YEAR-OLD EKATERINI MYLONAS IN THE CROWDED SQUARE OUTSIDE THE BUILDING.

THE INTERIOR MINISTER, BRIGADIER STYLIANES PATTAKOS AND THE MINISTER OF THE PUBLIC ORDER, MR PAUL TOTOMIS JOINED HUNDREDS OF MOURNERS IN THE FUNERAL PROCESSION AT AN ATHENS CEMETERY.

POLICE SAID THE EXPLOSION WAS APPARENTLY CAUSED BY A HOME-MADE DEVICE WHICH WENT OFF ON A ROOFTOP OVERLOOKING OMONIA SQUARE DURING THE RUSH HOUR. AMBULANCES WERE RUSHED TO THE SCENE, BUT APART FROM THE FATALITY, OTHER PASSERSBY WHERE ONLY SLIGHTLY INJURED.

POLICE OFFICERS WERE REPORTED TO HAVE ARRESTED FIVE PEOPLE FOR INTERROGATION.
