    A TOKEN GROUP SEEKING TO AROUSE THE VOICE OF STUDENTS THROUGHOUT THE UNITED STATES, THE PICKET ALSO STAGED A SYMBOLIC FAST WHILE STUDENTS AT ONE AMERICAN UNIVERSITY WENT ON HUNGER STRIKE TOO: THEY TURNED THEIR PLATES FACE DOWN ON THE REFECTORY TABLE AND REFUSED TO TAKE PART IN THE TRADITIONAL DINNER ON THIS DAY OF THANKSGIVING.

    THANKSGIVING DAY IS AN ANNUAL FESTIVAL AND DAY OF FAMILY REUNION ORIGINALLY MARKED BY THE PILGRIM FATHERS, THE FIRST SETTLERS IN AMERICA FROM THE OLD WORLD, FOR THANKSGIVING FOR THEIR FIRST HARVEST IN 1621.
