  • Description

AN ELEVEN-MAN NORTH KOREAN OLYMPIC COMMITTEE DELEGATION ARRIVED IN HOG KONG BY TRAIN FROM CANTON RECENTLY TO MEET DELEGATES FROM SOUTH KOREA.

THE RESPECTIVE DELEGATES HAD BEEN WORKING FOR THE PAST TEN YEARS TO HAVE SUCH A MEETING AND THEY WERE VERY GRATEFUL FOR HONG KONG'S HOSPITALITY IN ALLOWING THEM TO MEET HERE.

IT WAS REPORTED THAT NORTH AND SOUTH KOREA HAVE ALREADY AGREED TO FLY A COMMON FLAG AT THE 1964 OLYMPIC GAMES IN TOKYO.

THE WHITE FLAG WILL BEAR THE WORD "KOREA" UNDERNEATH THE OLYMPIC SYMBOL.

A SPOKESMAN FOR THE NORTH KOREAN DELEGATION ADDED THAT THEIR PROBLEM NOW WAS THE SELECTION OF A TEAM FROM THE TWO COUNTRIES.HE EXPECTED THAT THE MEETING WOULD PRODUCE GOOD RESULTS.
