  • Description

The daughter of one of France's aperitif kings, Danielle Ricard, was married to the Venezuelan bullfighter, Cesar Giron, at the small church of Ste. Marthe, Marseilles, on Nov. 21. Earlier the couple attended a civil ceremony conducted by the deputy-Mayor of Marseilles, Mr. Caston Defferre.

The bride wore a Balmain gown in lace and a gold tiara and her husband was dressed in "Traje Corto", an Andalusian costume.

Diplomatic Corps and consular officials were represented by the Columbian Consul-General, Melguizo Gutierrez.

Crowds lined the streets and cheered the couple as they left the church for the Club Taurin Ricard where the wedding breakfast was held. Later there was a formal reception at the Splendid Hotel.

Danielle is reported as saying she married Cesar for his qualities of heart and not for his fame as a bullfighter.

Cesar and his wife will honey-moon in Barcelona, Madrid and South America.
