Background: Austria's two-all draw with Hungary in Budapest on Sunday (April 29) gave Austria sufficient aggregate points to retain the lead in European Group One of the World Football Cup qualifying competition. Both teams were unbeaten after five of their six matches -- but Austria had won three games and drawn two for eight points, against Hungary's two wins and three draws for seven points.
Hungary took the lead in Sunday's game, before a crowd of 80,000 in their capital's Nep Stadium, when Zamboa scored in the twelfth minute. But Austria equalised two minutes later with a goal from Staek, and then took the lead in the twenty-eighth minuet when Jara scored.
The Austrians held their lead for forty minutes, then Balint got Hungary's equaliser. This film shows the highlights of the game, including all four goals.
