    STRICT SECURITY PRECAUTIONS WERE TAKEN AS GENERAL DE GAULLE DROVE INTO BONN FROM THE AIRPORT. ABOUT 3,000 POLICE, SOME ARMED WITH SUB-MACHINE GUNS, WERE ON DUTY, SOME WATCHING THE PRESIDENT FROM ROOF TOPS. HELICOPTERS AND AMBULANCES WITH BLOOD PLASMA ACCOMPANIED THE MOTOR PROCESSION.

    PRESIDENT DE GAULLE DROVE TO MEET DR. ADENAUER AT THE BUNDESHAUS, WHERE THE FORMER CHANCELLOR NOW HAS AN OFFICE. THE TWO HAD PRIVATE TALKS LASTING ALMOST AN HOUR.

    DR. ADENAUER SAID LATER HE WOULD VISIT FRANCE IN THE LATE AUTUMN ON PRESIDENT DE GAULLE'S INVITATION.
