H. Lindberg of Sweden became over-all winner of the Acropolis Rally hold in Greece last week, when he won second place in the event's "Speed Contest" final section at Tatoi airfield, 15 miles(24Kms) outside athens, on Sunday(May 28).
Seventy-seven cars out of the 98 rally participants entered the Speed section - raced over a two-and-three-quarter mile(4 1/2kms) circuit.
The Acropolis Rally is a three-day international event, run over a 2350-mile(3800 kms) course, starting and ending at the foot of the Acropolis Hill.
This Year's contest - the 20th - attracted many of Europe's leading drivers - among them H. Lindberg of Sweden, over-all Rally winner, S. Lampinen of Finland, over-all second, and A. Warmbold of Denmark winner of the Speed Contest and over-all third.
