    Background: Hundreds of would-be passengers, queueing at Idlewild Airport Monday November 10 for take-off on internal airlines, narrowly escaped death as a cargo plane - a Super Constellation of Seaboard and Western Airlines tilted on the run way on take off, narrowly missed the terminal building, and rammed a Canada Airlines Viscount Turbo Prop. The five man crew of the Super Constellation count for flight were treated for minor abrasions.

    Firefighters quickly on the spot sprayed the planes with thousands of gallons of foamite, but before their arrival the metal has fused in the intense heat and both planes are now a complete write-off.
