Background: After 93 years in a tiny churchyard in London, the remains of the Greek poet Andreas Kalvos who died in London in 1867 were flown to Athens together with those of his English wife Charlotte. They remains, after having remained for a few days in a small byzantine church where Athens students had the chance to pay their respects honouring the memory of this contemporary poet, were transferred to Island of Zante (Ionian) aboard the RHN Corvette "Hatziconstantis". The remains will be burried in Zante with great honors, as it is the birthplace of Kalvos who once had written: "death is only sweet when you are sleeping in your own country".
