  • Description

French children made orphans in the Frejus flood disaster invited to spend a month's holiday with London families arrived by air at Southend Essex July 21 and received a civic greeting at Westminster County Hall, London.

Four widows of Frejus were among the 72 children who now have an English home, thanks to the work of the South London Anglo-French circle. The Circle is already collecting clothes and gifts for Frejus ... for Christmas.

Waiting for the children in London were their hosts headed by the Circle's organiser Patrick Moran and his French wife Suzie. The Southend airline which flew the children to England did so free of charge.

Last April the Circle visited Frejus to present Easter eggs to the orphans of the December disaster and plan the goodwill visit to England.
