A Canadian badminton team is on a goodwill visit to the People's Republic of China. They were greeted in Peking at a ceremony held by the Chinese Physical Culture and Sports Commission in the Capital Indoor Stadium.
Chinese and Canadian teams played five matches in women's and men's singles and doubles.
In the women's singles, Canadian player Nancy McKinley met Chinese player Liu Haiso-cheng.
In Man's doubles, Canada's Jim Lynch and Dave Charron played China's Wun Chun-sheng and Chen Hsin-hui.
Chinese Foreign Minister, Chi Peng-fei and Minister of the physical Culture and Sports Commission, Wang Mong were in attendance along with members of the Canadian diplomatic corps.
