Background: There have been persistent demonstrations reported from the People's Republic of China ever since the South Vietnamese invasion of Laos with United States air support.
This official film from the People's Republic shows one of the demonstrations, with some of the marchers bearing arms.
The New China News Agency and the People's Daily newspaper have both attacked President Nixon's stand on the South Vietnamese incursion into Laos. The People's Daily article warned the President not to forget that China shared a border with Laos, and regarded the South Vietnamese thrust as 'a grave menace'.
