Visnews cameras filmed the opening at Toulon on Saturday, 13th June by Marshal Juin of a now cable railway to take passengers from the city to the summit of Mont Faron 500 metres above the town.

Marshal Juin cut a red, white and blue ribbon symbolically barring access to the starting point of the cable railway and then travelled to the wooded summit of Mont Faron in one of the passenger cars, each of which accommodates 16 people. On the way he saw beautiful views of the wooded hillsides and of the ancient city below them.
