    It is Swiss Week in the Ivory Coast and Switzerland is displaying her export produce, her skills and her culture in Abidjan. The principal displays are at the Hotel Ivoire where Swiss chefs have taken over the cuisine and Swiss food dominates the menu. President Houphouet-Boigny was the guest of the Swiss visitors at a reception in the Hotel Ivoire.

    Part of the Hotel Ivoire has become a Swiss restaurant, Le Raisin, for the week. Swiss cheese, Swiss wine, Swiss pastry and gateaux are introducing the people of the Ivory Coast to food from the Alps. And they can eat to an accompaniment of Swiss folk music played by a traditional Swiss restaurant band.
