    PRESIDENT DE GAULLE OF FRANCE TOOK OFFICE FOR A SECOND SEVEN-YEAR TERM TODAY (SATURDAY) AND FORMALLY RECEIVED HIS NEW GOVERNMENT. IT IS AGAIN UNDER THE PREMIERSHIP OF M. POMPIDOU AND INCLUDES TWO OTHER FORMER PRIME MINISTERS - M. DEBRE AND M. EDGAR FAURE.

    M. DEBRE, WHO FOR LONG STOOD AS A SUPPORTER OF FRENCH ALGERIA, WAS THE GENERAL 'S FIRTST PRIME MINISTER WHEN HE BECAME PRESIDENT IN 1959. HE NOW HEADS A SUPER-MINISTRY WITH OVERALL CONTROL OF ECONOMIC, SOCIAL AND FINANCIAL DEVELOPMENT.

    M.FAURE, A RADICAL SUPPORTER OF DE GAULLE, WAS PRIME MINISTER WHEN FRANCE RATIFIED THE ROME TREATY SETTING UP THE EUROPEAN COMMON MARKET. HE HEADS THE AGRICULTURAL MINISTRY, A KEY POST IN VIEW OF THE COMMON MARKET CRISIS OVER FINANCING A COMMON FORM POLICY.

    M. COUVE DE MURVILLE REMAINS FOREIGN MINISTER, A POST HE HAS HELD SINCE 1958, AND M. MALRAUX REMAINS IN CHARGE OF CULTURAL AFFAIRS.

    THE PRESENTATION TOOK PLACE IN THE BALLROOM OF THE ELYSEE PALACE. M. GASTON PALEWSKI, PRESIDENT OF THE CONSTITUTIONAL COUNCIL, WAS PRESENT TO FORMALLY ANNOUNCE THE RE-ELECTION OF THE PRESIDENT WHO IS 75. IN A BRIEF SPEECH, PRESIDENT DE GAULLE SAID HE WOULD CONTINUE TO IMPLEMENT THE CONSTITUTION IN ORDER TO ENSURE THE CONTINUITY AND SAFETY OF FRANCE.
