    An exhibition of nuclear devices is on show in Geneva, where the fourth United Nations "Atoms fro Peace" conference opened on Monday (September 6). Most of the exhibits on show from countries like United States, the Soviet Union, West Germany, France and Japan, are for sale. After attending the opening meeting of the conference, some of the 4,000 delegates from 72 countries toured the exhibits. This film covers their tour round the exhibition and shows some of the nuclear devices on display.

    SYNOPSIS: Some of the 4,000 delegates at the fourth United Nations "Atoms for Peace" conference, which opened in Geneva, Switzerland, on Monday, visited a display of nuclear exhibits after the opening meeting.

    Among the delegates was top United States scientist Dr. Glenn Seaborg, who headed the 300 member U.S. delegation, Earlier, at the conference, Dr. Seaborg had predicted that nuclear-propelled rockets would carry men to Mars by the end of the century. Among the stands he and his delegation visited was that of the Soviet Union which, like America, hopes to sell some nuclear devices, Other exhibits from the 72 countries which sent delegations to the conference included displays from West Germany, France, Japan and Britain.

    At the conference opening on Monday, Canadian Foreign Minister Mr. Mitchell Sharp warned that the People's Republic of China may soon be a nuclear power of some importance. He pledged to work towards their participation in the atomic conferences. PAUSE. The People's Republic, which is not a member of the United Nations, is not represented at the current talks, which are aimed at the peaceful development of nuclear energy.
