    MEMBERS OF THE BRITISH ANTI-APARTHEID MOVEMENT OBSERVED SOUTH AFRICA FREEDOM DAY IN LONDON TODAY (SUNDAY) WITH A CONFERENCE ASSEMBLED UNDER THE TITLE "LIBERATION AND GUERILLA WARFARE IN SOUTHERN AFRICA". SPEAKERS FROM ANGOLA, MOZAMBIQUE AND SOUTH AFRICA TOOK PART IN THE CONFERENCE.

    THE CONFERENCE WAS HELD AT THE "ROUND HOUSE", A CONVERTED RAILWAY SHUNTING YARD IN NORTH-WEST LONDON. SOUTH AFRICA FREEDOM DAY -- NORMALLY OBSERVED ON JUNE 26 -- WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1955 DURING A MEETING IN JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA.

    MR. FERNANDO OCTAVIO OF ANGOLA, MR. EDWARD NOLOVU OF THE ZIMBABWE AFRICAN PEOPLES UNION AND MR. TENNYSON MAKIWANE OF THE AFRICAN NATIONAL CONGRESS OF SOUTH AFRICA WERE AMONG SPEAKERS AT THE MEETING. THEY CALLED FOR "SOLIDARITY WITH THE FREEDOM STRUGGLE IN SOUTH AFRICA" AND GAVE DETAILS OF RECENT GUERILLA ACTIVITIES IN THE REPUBLIC.

    TONIGHT A POP CONCERT AND FILM NIGHT WAS HELD AT THE ROUND HOUSE TO RAISE FUNDS FOR THE ANTI-APARTHEID MOVEMENT.
