FIRST PART OF THIS STORY IS SHIPPED MARCH 27th. (with mag.stripe) This roll is the final one, mute, with some shots of the castle, and some back-stage-shots of the crew working.
The film is shot by the still-photographer of the film. Hope it's well.
This story will maybe be of value for the television programmes with movie-film-orientation etc.

Background: In 1970, a one million dollars production of "KING LEAR", in the English language, with an international cast, will be shown on TV and in cinemas. Production has been made possible by pre-selling world-wide distribution to FILMWAY and COLUMBIA PICTURES CORPORATION.

Playing King Lear will be the British actor PAUL SCOFIELD, and King Lears daughter will be ANNELISE GARBOLD, newly graduated from the ROYAL DANISH THEATRES DRAMATIC SCHOOL.

In the sandhills (dunes) in NORTH JUTLAND, DENMARK, the director PETER BROOK found the most dramatic landscape and the french architect GEORGES WAKHEWITCH created the big castle. Peter Brook chose that place to shoot the film, because, "it is the world terrain, which fitted into his interpretation of King Lear" (statement of the films producer SAM LOMBERG, ATHENA FILM.)
Local farmers and fishermen playing spear-carrying extras, earned praise from Brook for realistic performances. Not knowing English, they learned their lines by rote.
