    The United Nations committee on decolonisation met again in New York on Thursday (9 August) to discuss the presence of French colonialism in the Comoran Islands, at the northern entrance to the Mozambique canal.

    The 24-nation committee began meeting at the United Nations Headquarters on July 31, to debate the activities of foreign economic interests in Colonial territories.

    Introducing the talks on the Comoran Islands, the Secretary-General of MOLINACO, Mr. Abdou Bakari Boina said the matter was of particular importance because of the history of his country.
