    ANQUETIL ALMOST DECIDED TO MISS THIS YEARS TOUR BECAUSE OF ILL HEALTH BUT HE SHOWED HE IS AGAIN ONE OF THE RACE FAVOURITES BY W INNING THE 15 MILE (24.5 KM) INDIVIDUAL TIME TRIAL, WHICH COMPRISED THE SECOND HALF OF TODAY'S STAGE.

    THE OVERALL LEADERSHIP - AND THE YELLOW JERSEY THAT GOES WITH IT - CHANGED TODAY.IRISHMAN SHAY ELLIOT, WHO HAD LED SINCE THE THIRD STAGE, SLIPPED BACK TO THIRD POSITION AND GILBERT DESMET 1 OF BELGIUM TOOK OVER AS LEADER.THE RACE ENDS IN PARIS ON JULY 14.
