    In the council-room of the Presidential Council Mr. Istvan Debi, President of the Presidential Council presented high awards to President Tito and two of h is immediate collaborators. For his outstanding activity in the struggle against fascious, for social progress, a better understanding among peoples and in deepening the friendship between the Hungarian and Yugoslav peoples Mr. Josip Brez Tito was awarded the first degree of the Flag Order of the Hungarian People's Republic. For similar merits Mr. Voljke Vlahovic, member of the Executive Committee of the Central Committee of the League of Yugoslav Communists and Mr. Koda Popovic, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia were awarded similarly the first degree of the Flag Order of the Hungarian People's Republic.

    President Tito thanked for the awards.

    Then President Tito gave the "Great Star Order" to Mr. Istvan Debi and to Mr. Janes Kadar for their extraordinary merits in developing and strengthening peaceful coexistence and friendly ties between the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and the Hungarian People's Republic; Mr. Sander Gaspar, Deputy-President of the Presidential Council of the Hungarian People's Republic, member of the Political Committee of the Hungarian Socialist Workers' Party, and to Dr. James Peter, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Hungarian People's Republic were awarded the "Flag Order with Ribbons".

    Mr. Janes Kadar thanked for the awards.
