    SV Albert Victor Alexander speaking:-

"You have created a record in having sunk well and truly no doubt about them six U-boats. I of course recognise that deep in the heart of British people in the respect and in affection for the Royal Navy which is irreplaceable by any other sentiment. Thank you all so very much. You have had some tough times in this cruise but, my word, no group has ever more reason to be proud than you have nor have we any more need to be grateful. I wish you, to Capt. Walker and to all the officers serving under him in the group the very greatest possible luck. (Cheers) I hope you'll get some rest some time".
