  • Description

A new kind of hot-rod in Hamilton, Ontario. It consists of a small car's chassis, propelled by a seven dog-power motor. The driver is Mrs. Bunty Dunlop of Burlington, top-ranking woman in Canada's husky racing field. Since the warm weather won't oblige, Mrs. Dunlop keeps her dogs in shape by racing them back and forth through her orchard, pulling a sled in winter and the automobile chassis the rest of the year. And conditioning they need. The average husky race is a stretch thirty-three miles long -- with the driver pushing about one-third of the way. But with the advent of warmer winters in Ontario, Mrs. Dunlop has to admit that her favorite sport is going to the dogs.
