    ISMALIA, ON THE SUEZ CANAL, IS REPORTED TO HAVE BEEN TURNED INTO A VAST MILITARY CAMP WITH TROOP TRAINS, TANKS, ARMOURED CARS AND LORRIES CONSTANTLY COMING AND GOING.

    OTHER REPORTS SAID THAT AN EGYPTIAN CRUISER, FOUR TORPEDO BOATS AND TWO SUBMARINES HAVE PASSED THROUGH THE SUEZ CANAL, APPARENTLY HEADING FOR THE RED SEA AND FOR A POSSIBLE BLOCKADE OF THE GULF OF AQABA WHICH PROVIDES ISRAEL WITH HER ONLY SEA ACCESS EAST OF SUEZ.

    IN CAIRO, THE NEW RECRUITS WERE BEING RUSHED TO TRAINING CAMPS TO TAKE THEIR PLACE ALONGSIDE ARMY RESERVISTS WHO HAVE ALREADY BEEN RE-CALLED.
