The passengers are a group of air travel pioneers who started the world's first international air passenger service in 1919. They are going on a jet flight to Paris to mark the 50th anniversary.

Archive footage of the first flight - single engine plane being prepared, pilot (Captain Bill Lawford) shaking hands with several men, people drinking a toast to the flight. The company that ran the service was Air Transport and Travel Ltd.
Among the pioneers seen at Heathrow today are Alan Campbell-Ord, Sidney Oldfield, Leslie Page, George Hummerstone and Captain Jerry Shaw. Air stewardesses go up the stairs into the jet plane, followed by the men. L/S of the plane taking off.
