    The medievalist and ghost story writer Montague Rhodes (M. R.) James can be seen in this newsreel, which was filmed during his tenure as provost of Eton. He is most visible at the very beginning of the clip, leading the procession on the left hand side of the frame. This is one of only a small handful of appearances of James on film.
