    Various shots of the cars setting off on the 1969 RAC (Royal Automobile Club) rally of Great Britain. Among the starters we see Paddy Hopkirk, the winner of the Monte Carlo Rally, moving off. People looking on in rain. The first car seen, (No 56), is Alan Allard's Ford Escort TC. Then on the starting ramp is a Triumph 2.5 PI. Then comes car No. 2, Timo Makinen in a Lancia Fulvia. Then car 3, Simo Lampinen in a Saab V4. Then Paddy Hopkirk looks from the window of his Triumph 2.5 PI. Then car 14, Rauno Aaltonen in his Datsun SSS. Then Car 12, Harry Kallstrom in a Lancia Fulvia. Finally, Car 44, Olle Floren in an Opel Kadett.
