  • Description

Titles read: "1959 LINE'S THE SNOWLINE".

    Switzerland.

Holidaymakers and models making their way towards the mountain railway in the snow. L/S of the Wetterhorn mountain. General view of the countryside under snow.

Inside a hotel we see various shots of models sitting around a table and drinking tea. They are all wearing light-coloured ski-pants. We then see the models parading about a hotel lounge in the latest Swiss fashions for skiing.

Helen, from New York, takes off her jacket to reveal a white jumper with embroidered playing card emblems, and tight white trousers . Zurich model Ruth shows off a poncho cape and slim trousers. Vreni wears a blouse and a heavy ski-skirt of imitation lamb fleece bound with black ribbon at the waist and hem. Two men in the audience enjoy feeling the material of her skirt.

Sylvia wears white ski-pants and a heavy jumper with hood attached. Helen wears a short jacket with corduroy after-ski trousers. Ruth wears a one-piece sleeveless 'television suit' in a printed fabric with a white fake fur jacket. M/S of two men in the audience whistling. Vreni and Barbara parade together. Vreni wears a one-piece ski-suit and a short black cape. Barbara wears a short, shaggy fake fur jacket with a hood over a printed Shetland jumper and slim trousers.

Commentator muses "And if any of the lovelies get lost in the snow now and then, how nice to be a St Bernard dog and nose them out".
