    M/S of a convoy of horse drawn carriages (presumably containing King George V) coming through a cheering crowd. M/S of spectators walking next to the course.

    Various shots of horses and jockeys being lead past the crowds.

    Intertitle: "The Start".

    High angled shot of horses and jockeys lining up for the start of the race - after an initial false start, the horses race off. Various L/Ss of the race.

    Intertitle: "The Finish".
