    REEL 3 Several shots of the bright lights of Piccadilly Circus London. Sign reads: 'CHARLES B COCHRAN'S REVUE - ONE DAM THING AFTER ANOTHER". Good M/Ss of of actor Charles Laughton sitting in his dressing room putting on make-up. L/Ss of people arriving in and sitting down to see the play - Edgar Wallace's gangster thriller - 'On the Spot'. Several shot so of actors preparing behind stage. M/Ss Laughton in costume and full character. Conductor and orchestra performing as the curtain rises. Several shots of musical ('Princess Charming') which stars George Grossmith.

    01:16:14 M/S and L/S of Henry Ainley starring in 'Hassan'. He raises a sword looking as though he is about to strike down a young lady, but suddenly pauses appearing to have a sudden heart attack, he gives a final speech before falling to the ground. Brief footage of 'Trilby' starring Lynn Harding and Tom Walls and Ralph Lynn starring in 'Thark' at the Aldwych Theatre. M/Ss of Gene Gerrard hand cuffed to his co-star watched by French Police, they manage to tie themselves in knots. Nice footage of play starring Edward Chapman and Gracie Fields. She plays a slightly stupid looking house cleaner. Will Hay wears headmasters cap and gown writing ineligibly on blackboard. A school boy puts is hand up, Hay simply turns the board upside down, it now reads "Silence in this School".

    01:18:26 M/Ss of comedian Billy Merson with Nellie Wallace with Nervo and Knox performing some comic acrobatic stunts. L/Ss of Beatrice Lillie on roller skates. Several good shots of the variety of costumes various musicals. L/S of 'Can-Can' style dancing. Various more shots of people dancing. L/Ss of girls rapidly changing their costumes for the next scene. Good L/Ss of Jack Buchannon dancing with June. They sit on bench together, Buchannon looks very uncomfortable. M/Ss of Renee Gadd dancing around George Grossmith who is desperately trying to make phone call. He gives up and starts dancing around room in comic fashion. M/Ss of Leslie Henson climbing into car and getting fingers stuck in windscreen.
