31 January marks the 70 Years since U.S. President Harry Truman announced the development of the Hydrogen Bomb, or H-Bomb. The H-Bomb was smaller than the first atomic bombs, and had a greater destructive power. The first full-scale test was carried out by the U.S. in 1952.

3 February marks 75 Years since Berlin was bombed by the American 8th Air Force. It was one of the few occasions on which the USAAF undertook a massive aerial attack on a city centre, hoping to destroy the German 6th Panzer Army which was being relocated to the Eastern Front.
