This selection of Pathe newsreels focuses on The Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Philip. Over the decades British Pathe were invited to film many of Prince Philips most momentous state speeches and achievements, encompassing his love for new technology, pioneering British industries, expeditions and of course sailing. These reels depict Prince Philip on the frontier of science, opening a nuclear power station in Gloucestershire, and on his famous official yacht tour with HMS Britannia.
