Manchester City - Man City Film Footage From The Archive.

Some great Man City film history FA Cup video footage here from yesteryear starting in 1926 when Man City beat Huddersfield 4-0 and beat Clapton Orient (became Leyton Orient) 6-1 as well as cruching Crystal palace 11-4. Man City beat Man Utd in the semi final 3-0. 1932 sees Manchester City v Bury and a 4-3 win and City beat Derby 3-2. Meet the players is an archive film and we see a young Matt Busby playing for Manchester City. There is film documentary of Manchester City from 1934 as well as a 6-1 win when City beat Aston Villa in the FA Cup semi final and went on to beat Portsmouth 2-1 in the final. As champions Man City faced Glasgow Rangers at Ibrox and beat them 1-0. In 1952 there is footage of a 2-2 draw with Wolves and in 1955 Man City beat Man Utd 1-0, beat Birmingham 1-0, Manchester City v Sunderland semi ended 1-0 to City. 1956 was important in City's history; with a 3-1 win over Birmingham in the FA Cup Final we see a victorious Man City parading through the streets of Manchester and of course Bert Trautmann, he of the broken neck, is shown receiving the injury and celebrating with his team mates. This match was preceded with a 1-0 win over Spurs and a 3-1 win against Everton. In 1968 Man City's Mike Doyle and Neil Young played 'Head Tennis' against Leeds and won - the film's here if you do not believe it! 1969 and Manchester City beat Everton 1-0 in a semi-final to face, and beat, Leicester City 1-0 in the final at Wembley - Neil Young the scorer is not going to like this, but his goal is missing from the footage! Sorry... but great Manchester City history and video film archive.
