  • I was interested on 2 of your films, Townsend Ferries disaster and the Bristol Brabazon first flight.
As a 13 year old I watched from Sandwich bay the first flight of this magnificent aircraft. Did it ever land at Manston?

Secondly the Townsend Ferry film. I was not surprised to hear this Company experiencing such a disaster. I worked for Townsend at Dover in 1969 - 1970. I was employed in a team of 5 to load & unload freight onto the ferry. There was little or no attention to safety. We were given insufficient time to carry out our work. We had a "manager"of each team that stood at the gangway screaming to go "faster"even if it was unsafe. This was the worst company I had ever worked for and finally brought the power of the Transport and General Workers union to take action against the Company. Eventually I moved to Australia.

Verbal warfare at its best. Here are some of history's greatest retorts and snarling insults. These people certainly didn't mince their words!
