M/S snowy scene as a man drives a horse drawn sleigh, laden with Christmas trees, up a hill in a forest, A long line of open rail trucks loaded with Christmas trees moves towards camera.

M/S men and women in town style coats. The people, somewhere in the country, cut large branches of holly from the hedges. A young woman is seen up a ladder. She gets a mistletoe clump and steps down a few rungs and kisses the young men holding the ladder steady. People walk along a snowy lane carrying their holly. Pan across a group of men as they tie the large branches of holly to bikes and cars.
Intertitles read: "No need to go to Switzerland for winter sports "
M/S of a group standing on a hillside. They help kids set off on toboggans. There are various shots of people on sledges, on a downhill run. One goes on her front. Skiers stand ready, and one skier goes past camera, wearing an ordinary coat.

M/S people on the ice in town. A woman in a coat, carrying a briefcase gets ready for a big slide across the ice. A boy on skates plays with a large dog. Four men skate together with their arms crossed over, then skate holding hands, arms outstretched, with lovely smooth rhythm. (01:19:27)
M/S men break the ice. A man in a swimming trunks, gets in, takes a few strokes then takes huge chunks of ice and chucks them about. Another slides in and ducks under the water. Not a pretty sight.
A man is seen on a roof, where a burst pip has caused the ice to freeze over a hopper drain. He uses a blow lamp to melt it. M/S exterior of a house with strange ice formation from a burst pipe.

Note: VHS Sleeve title indicates G 1455. The skating is lovely and quirky. The men swimming in the ice is hilarious - you might want ice in your drink but this is ridiculous. Have they lost their marbles to jump into freezing water like that?

Note: VHS Sleeve title indicates G 1455. No ski wear or sunglasses here. Lots of fun in the snow and a lovely mistletoe kiss, although the film quality is poor.
