Intertitle: "Sweden". Greta Garbo, famous film star, returns to her native Sweden for a holiday. C/U of actress seated in an armchair in the lounge of a ship. She flinches from camera bulbs flashing and covers her face with her hands. She poses for the camera. On the deck of the ship walks past camera hiding her face by wearing a large brimmed jockey hat. Good stuff for showing Garbo the recluse!

Intertitle: "Palestine". Sir Alan Cunningham, High Commissioner for Palestine, hands out prizes to Palestinians at a Local Agricultural Exhibition. Intertitle: "London". We see comedian George Robey with his wife looking at some of his birthday cards and telegrams. John Parsons interviews Robey and congratulates him on his 78th birthday. C/U of Robey dressed in his famous stage make up, complete with bushy eyebrows. Robey tells Parsons how he became titled "Prime Minister of Mirth". Robey does some of his characteristic stage mannerisms for the camera. Interview ends as Robey whispers dirty joke into Parson's ear.

Intertitle: "USA". Washington DC, United States of America. M/S of Henry Wallace, American Secretary of Commerce, running up steps pursued by news reporters. C/U of Wallace. He reads out his own letter of resignation and then signs it before the cameras. Wallace resigned having criticised Britain and suggested more peaceful relations with USSR.
