  • Good morning. Some weeks ago I spoke to a British Pathe representative by telephone and requested and obtained verbal permission to use the video clip 'The world's fastest Warship' in a powerpoint presentation to members of the RNLI at the Chiswick lifeboat station. I am a Volunteer Sea safety Officer at Chiswick and it happens that many years ago (1959/1960) I was the (very fortunate) Commanding Officer of HMS BRAVE BORDERER. The title of the talk will be "Coastal Forces" and I have already included a number of slides of 'old' MTBs and MGBs. There will be no charge to attendees..I have a copy of The Worlds Fastest Warship but the video clip includes some advertising and I have been unable to embed it in any of the Powerpoint slides.

If at all possible I would be most grateful if you could send me a video clip of just the main subject (BRAVE BORDERER doing speed trials in the Solent) which I can embed in a 2003 version of Powerpoint. I will be happy to give full acknowledgem

Verbal warfare at its best. Here are some of history's greatest retorts and snarling insults. These people certainly didn't mince their words!
