    Charles Street in Mayfair, London, shows building with Union Jack and American flags hanging outside. Models get out of taxi and go inside. C/U of white door with 'Lurex House' in gold letters on the front - this is the overseas headquarters of Dobeckmun Company. C/U of metallic Lurex yarn of different colours hanging down - they part like curtains to show a globe turning round with countries suggested by sparkling Lurex threads spread across it and a gold band round the middle with 'Lurex, world of brilliance' on it.

    Several shots of imported fabrics from around the world, made using Lurex yarn, for the Lurex International Fair. Francoise Fernier (sp?), organiser of Fair, looks at fabrics on display. Several shots of exhibition showing Lurex fabrics used in household fabrics, interior design and car seat covers. Abstract shots of Lurex fabric on displays.

Compere of fashion show (also actor, radio star and showbiz personality) Ben Lyon looks at the lovely gold evening gown of another model while a woman makes notes for his commentary. Irish evening dress and cape made from Lurex mixed with tweed. Cocktail suit from Germany. Japanese traditional costume. Amazing shiny red Lurex cocktail dress from America - high-necked and full-skirted, looks like it's made out of leather or plastic! Black and white tweedy wrap or 'toga'. Sari-style outfit. More dresses, slightly more informal. Wonderful hooded coat over a dress. Woman in gold evening dress accompanied by man in white tie and tails. Wonderful 50s fashions! You must watch this!
