A feature film about the voyage of a Windjammer with excellent documentary shots of the ship travelling the Oceans in all weathers.

  • Description

Fade in to the newcomer writing a diary, intercut with the activities he describes. The ship laying out at anchor. Pulling up the anchor. The tug boat arriving, other steam ships pass with the coastline in the background. Men hauling up the sails all over the ship. Climbing amongst the top sails, looking down at the sea.

Below decks one sailor is working on his model boat. The new man is given clothing. Another puts up a nude photo. A man in his bunk also has a nude photo of a woman. There is a discussion.

The new man also has a picture of a girl, but she is respectably dressed. A dispute over a photo of a showgirl is solved by cutting her in half. The black cook arrives and a fight starts. Shot of the sea and the Windjammer sailing.

In the hero's diary he writes " 14th day. Life at sea is peeling potatoes and feeling sick." He peels potatoes and the others make fun of him. The ship's dog watches.
