    MS Presidential Candidate Wendell Wilkie speaking at a Republican rally on his presidential campaign tour, he affirms his support for aid to Britain and calls Britain the first line of US Defence and the only remaining friend of the USA. He thus supports Roosevelt's Democratic policy of aid to Britain in the battle with Germany.
