Full Title reads: "Richmond - 'Well played England!' - only beaten by 3 goals to 1 in the last few minutes by Canada's unbeaten International Ice Hockey Team."

    Richmond, Greater London.

Dark scenes of the beginning of an indoor ice hockey game. Scenes of play, some a little lighter. The two teams are both wearing light tops so it is difficult to tell them apart.

Intertitle reads "These pictures, which mark another definite advance in News-reel cinematography, were taken by ordinary lighting of the vast 24,100 square feet Richmond Ice Rink - the largest in the world - & are exclusive to the Pathe Gazette."

(That's is why it is so dark).

Shot of the victorious Canadian team and the English team lined up together after the match.

Sound track missing. There appears to have been a shorter, silent version of this item in Gazette 1888. This is currently missing.

    Sound track missing.
