    Wartime bombs found on the South Downs. Newhaven and Falmer.

    MS as bombs are thrown onto pile of shells and metal. Various shots as 25 lb shells are sorted out, drilled and emptied of tracer explosive then stacked on pile already drilled. Various shots Captain Day looking at drilled shells.

    Various shots as a team of Ukrainians under a Sergeant and a Corporal start looking for mines, at one point they find a horseshoe, good shots of detectors being used. Various shots as a 3" mortar bomb (phosphorous) is found. Various shots as Commanding Officer of Unit Major E. Bennett examines the day's find. Sergeant Higginbottom brings him his 3" Mortar bomb which they agree must be detonated immediately.

    Various shots of the team detecting and finding a 2" H E mortar bomb. Corporal Phelps tells Ukrainians to return to a safe distance while he uncovers the bomb. Various shots man with red flag at boundary. MS Ukrainians taking cover while bombs are exploded. Various shots as Sergeant and Corporal bury bomb, and attach 1.5 lbs of plastic explosive. Various shots as Sergeant Higginbottom lights slow burning fuse (4 minutes) which in turn ignites detonator fuse and explodes bombs. Various LS's showing unit working on farm area which is to be cleared.
