We see George fitting the device onto Silver. It looks like a harness with wheels attached that is strapped to Silver's back. George puts her bad paw into a sock and places it in a little container on the back of the 'wheelchair'. The pair then go off for a walk.
At the village shop they meet Mrs Sadler with another Alsatian, Vince. Silver takes Mrs Sadler's basket in her mouth and walks along with it. Final shots show Silver and Vince going for a romp across a field together (sniff! What a tearjerker).
