    Hanover, Federal Republic of Germany (West Germany).

    Start of an international football match between West Germany and Soviet Union (USSR). SV. The two captains after exchanging bouquets in the middle of the pitch. GV. Stadium, play in progress. SV. Russians in red shirts and white shorts, kicking from left to right against the Germans in white shirts and black shorts. Russian player beats a German centre forward Biesinger to the ball and starts moving up field. SV. Russian player with the ball, shoves a long pass into the German goal area. GV. German goal area, goalkeeper advancing and Russian centre forward dashing forward. Russian shoves the ball past the goalkeeper and it goes in the net. The scorer, Strelzov. Score USSR 1, West Germany 0. SV. Crowd clapping, some half heartedly. SV. Germans now on the attack. Vollmar pushes the ball through to the outside right. LV. From behind goal, as the outside right shoots. Goalkeeper Yashin harries the ball to the floor and dives on it as a German rushes in. CU. Man in crowd. SV. Germans attacking. Eckel with the ball, shoves it through to Waldner who dribbles forward. LV. As the outside right slings the ball across the goal, the Russian goalie dives for the ball. He grasps the ball, but falls and drops it. Schroeder scores. Score 1-1. SV. & GV. Cheering crowd. SV. Erick Juskowiak with the ball, he kicks it forward to start an attack. SV. Biesinger beats Baschischkin with the ball and shoots but Lev Yashin saves. CU. Man in crowd. LV. Russians on the attack. Russian player dashing through, tries to shoot but is put over for a corner to Russia. CU. People in crowd. LV. Russians taking corner kick. LV. Ball sailing across the goal mouth. German and two Russians jump to head it and it goes out to the right wing. SV. The wing promptly shoves the ball back across the goal and along the ground where it beats the advancing goalkeeper. Ivanov shoves it into an empty goal. Score 2-1 for USSR. SV. Excited crowd. SV. German goalkeeper holding his head. GV. Crowd. SV. Germans on the attack. Frowalter shoves the ball to a colleague who passes it back to him. Frowalter beats his man and flicks to his outside right who beats another Russian to the ball. He starts to make towards goal. SV. Waldner with ball. He shoots but the ball is tipped over the bar by Yashin. Final score USSR 2, West Germany 1.
