Venice Film Festival, Italy - as this is an Italian news story the emphasis is on Italian stars and directors. The film has a slightly comic feel - it is told from the perspective of one of the paparazzi photographers who has to try and get good photos of all the stars.

Shots of photographer loaded with cameras walking along water's edge at the beach of Lido of Venice. He staggers along and falls to his knees - very staged. C/U telephone, hand picks up receiver. Telephone receiver at man's ear. Shouting in Italian - probably newspaper editor telling photographer to get a good picture of Gina Lollobrigida. Young girl praying at crucifix - probably praying for her father to get a good photograph of Gina Lollobrigida.

VS Adriano Celentrano is mobbed by his young fans. He is the King of the Twist in Italy. He plays his guitar and sings to Gina (an Italian version of "Stand By Me" by the sound of it), who stands on a balcony. Lovely CU as she applauds at the end.

VS on the beaches and in the harbour as the stars just roam about. Photographers fight to take pin-up shots of starlets in bikinis etc.

Lolita is one of the films being promoted and there are good shots of lots of holidaymakers wearing the heart shaped glasses which were worn by Sue Lyon in the film. There is also a sequence where a man seems to be discussing how important it is for male stars to look smart in Venice.

Awards being presented at gala night festivities. Photographer who was in first shot, running away from camera along beach when he is handed a telegram asking him to go to the Berlin Film Festival to photograph Burt Lancaster and Gina Lollobrigida.
