Several shots of a woman, Miss Nancy Mackenzie tracing a leaf design onto a silk screen stencil block. Nancy and another woman, Mrs Outlaw (sp?) print the design onto cotton fabric using dye and rubber squeegees. The dyes are fixed by being washed in an acid bath.
The two women show us several other printed fabrics, with designs of feathers, pine trees, fish, flowers and abstract designs. Some are typically Australian - one features emu shapes.
