  • I am a scholar from India, and am presently writing a dissertation on Thomas Hardy and Religion in his Novels. This video came up while I was searching for material on the depiction of funerals in his works.

I had absolutely no idea that Hardy's funeral was recorded on camera, or that I would ever be able to witness it. Thank you so much for this archive, it has really been the most interesting result of all that I have researched on Hardy.

I hope to find more such video clips relating to English History and Literature.

    Thanks so much!
