    Trygve Lie makes his speech at UNO (United Nations Organisation) on the close of the first session. Westminster, London.

    Various shots Secretary General Mr Trygve Lie making his winding up speech. He says the UNO is a democratic forum for free and open discussion about political and economic problems etc. It does not shirk controversial issues and will be the hope for the future. He says they have to co-operate in solving world's problems.

    He then expresses thanks to President of Assembly Paul-Henri Spaak, camera pans across to him and everyone applauds. He then thanks the representatives and sits down, people applaud. L/S assembly, people get up and start to disperse.
