    Film about the UN's response to the India Pakistan conflict over Kashmir.

    VS. Security Council in session and U Thant is in the chair. The discussions on the Indo-Pakistan conflict with Ali Bhutto speaking for Pakistan followed by the Indian representative. British and US delegates then speak.

    VS. U Thant making his,way through United Nations Building to get to a press conference. CU. Of U Thant speaking SOF. He says that the situation in Kashmir is grave and difficult. The United Nations has looked at this problem for 17 years and he will do his very best and hope that his mission will prove helpful.

    VS Peaceful scenes in small village in Kashmir. VS People fighting fires in their village after attack.

    VS Indian prisoners being taken off a lorry and lined up. Their blindfolds are removed, before they are handcuffed and led away.
