    U.S. DECLARES REDS PUSHED RB-47 OFF COURSE

Mr. Lodge produces two maps to show that the plane, engaged on a peaceful scientific mission for mapping of shifting magnetic fields in the Arctic, was shot down over international waters. He declares a Soviet fighter pushed the RB-47 off its course and tried unsuccessfully to force it into Soviet air space. (see shot list for speech)
